It is believed that to save the house, Shivaji cut the fingers of Shaiste Khan as the latter was trying to escape. Currently, this museum is taken care of by the Maharashtra Government. You can find here musical instruments, sculptures, paintings, carvings, and ornaments from the 14th century. Most of these are from the Maratha and Mughal eras.
