International Yoga Festival was commenced in Rishikesh in 1999. The venue back then was Parmarth Niketan Ashram. The initial meditative classes were taken care of by Pujya Shri Swami Veda Bharat Ji, while the part of Yoga asanas was handled by Yogacharya Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji.
Ever since then, this festival is held every year in Rishikesh and only has been growing each year. The International Yoga Festival date for 2022 is from 8th March to 14th March.

- Everyone goes to bed by 9.30 pm
